TrillerVerz 5 took place on Saturday night, live from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, and the Lineage of Greatness theme was apparent ... though only one family went undefeated on the night.

The Vargas Dynasty went 3-0 on the night, while the Pulev brothers split their fights and Evan Holyfield was on the losing end of a surprising knockout.

Check out our fight-by-fight recap below and to watch a replay of TrillerVerz 5, head on over to

.

Amado Vargas vs. Anel Dudo
The middle Vargas brother kicked off the night with a four-round victory by unanimous decision. All three judges scored the fight 39-36, with the referee deducting a point from Vargas in round 4.

Vargas did most of his work to the body and landed 77 punches to just 39 for Dudo. He also threw more than twice as many punches as Dudo did.

Fernando Vargas Jr. vs. Terrance Jarmon
The second fight of the night gave us our first knockout!

The eldest Vargas brother dominated his opponent, putting Jarmon down three times in the first round before the ref finally stopped it. The first knockdown came just 1:15 into the fight and the second knockdown came just 30 seconds later.

Vargas used a strong left hand on the first and third knockdowns and he only needed 31 total punches to score the victory.

Fernando Vargas is now 4-0 for his career.

Evan Holyfield vs. Jurmain McDonald
It was a shocking victory for the man they call the Fighting Electrician!

McDonald landed a stiff right hand late in round 2 to score a stunning knockout victory over Holyfield, who was previously undefeated.

The ref counted to eight before deciding to stop the fight, which really upset Holyfield. But the commentators all agreed that the ref made the right move putting an end to the fight.

Emiliano Vargas vs. Mark Salgado
The youngest Vargas brother fought third on Saturday night and quickly earned his first professional victory.

Emiliano scored an early knockdown less than a minute into the first round. Salgado got up, but Vargas continued to fire power shot after power shot before the ref stopped the fight before the first round was even over.

He’s now 6-0 on his career with 6 KOs.

Kubrat Pulev vs. Jerry Forrest
After a lengthy delay that nearly saw the fight get canceled over glove size, the co-main event went the distance.

The two fighters felt each other for the first few rounds, but Pulev established himself in the middle rounds. Forrest made a push in the final two rounds but it wasn’t enough – Pulev won a unanimous decision.

Sergey Kovalev vs. Turvel Pulev
In the final fight of the evening, Kovalev’s cruiserweight debut was a successful one as he won by unanimous decision.

Two of the judges scored the fight 98-92 while the third had it 97-93.

Kovalev appeared to be in control throughout the fight and was able to prevent Turvel from notching a victory as his big brother did.
